What a treat to view the postings of the select few with whom we shared some distant and memorable times. Nothing particularly astonishing in my bio: With little else in my career path, I ended up practicing law in LA, an unpleasantness that has allowed me (and wonderful wife, Colette, of 23 years) to spend much of our lives cooking, traveling and providing a home in Santa Barbara for an episodic herd of sheep-like standard poodles (see picture below) I confess being particularly intrigued with the bios posted by those that I knew only peripherally back then, but who have pursued more interesting paths: Merielle Flood, who reports "playing acoustic bass in bluegrass, old time, and vintage country music bands" outside of Nashville. Lelsie Eaton, who with her husband, "own Pat's Blue Rib'n BBQ" in Kansas. Bob Smith "mostly doing startups" in Silicon Valley; Paula Gregerson, who posts a recent photo and notes: "It's important that one's beverage match one's attire;" and, of course, Kent Zimmerman, who had both the nerve and political incorrectness to malign George Bush on a high school reunion web site. Wishing you all a wonderful chance at rediscovering one another for the 35th. Jim |

I've been in Santa Cruz the last 19 years and I'm the Chief Operating Officer at O'Neill (the surf company). I’m enjoying mountain biking, surfing, golf and skiing between my work. All that time in study hall reading Surf and Ski magazines paid off. I hope to make it to the reunion. |

| Comment: A big thanks to all of the reunion committee for this wonderful web site, and especially to Larry Kropp for all his e-mails and phone calls! I was so happy to see someone has scanned part of our '71 yearbook, as I lost mine several lifetimes ago and was really mourning it's loss. It's great to see everyone's pictures and read up on what you've been doing for the last 3 years. What an amazing group of people! I've been working with a Christian missions organization called Youth With a Mission for the last 8 years, in Kona, Hawaii. I love working with young people, helping them find the love of God and their own unique identity in this crazy, mixed up world. In the process of working here I met a wonderful widower from New Zealand named John, and 2 years ago we were married. We're as happy as can be and now work together in a school here called the School of Biblical Studies. Collectively we have 6 grown children from ages 23 - 33: 3 boys and 3 girls, and 5 grandchildren. It's a wonderful family and I thank God every day for His blessings. I'd love to come to the reunion, but we had already planned a trip to Kauai to celebrate our second anniversary. Tough decision: Kauai or Santa Rosa? Kauai finally won out, but my dear friend Julie Dawson (Schmaltz) is coming to the reunion so I'm counting on her to tell me all about it! Blessings to all of you, and have a great time!
